sometimessometimes there's sunshine in droplet mists of rainbowed hues and sometimes the ocean is turquoise instead of Cape Cod- blue sometimes fall breezes bring infant joys of fire leaves crisp apples and sometimes snow tumbles you in downy blankets to loves sometimes the train is 2 minutes too early and sometimes there's mud in your puddle and sometimes your voice is grating and coarse and rips itself through all my insides but sometimes--just sometimes now-- it's warm tea brewed in laughter and heats my soul to innocence and sometimes that's all I can remember.sometimes

0685In summered night I find myself a child.0685
I'm catching moments like fireflies Heart in hands eagerly awaiting
Glowing tails to shine through muscle, blood, and flesh. Each new instance flashes bright Alongside twinkles of years past And I wait Till all of them fall dark And Mother tells me It's time to let them go. New hands with hearts wide open will catch them- My smiles in their face.

........In sunshine embraces........
I feel traces of innocence. I put them in coat pockets To take them out, after a time, and drink them down So that when coldness and numbness and fire All rage to new visceral heights Those long-preserved rays Will sink and coat each memory With the balm of echoed laughter and warm wind.

carpetAs we lie here (Palm to Palm) I can feel each second passing, through. My heart is clutching at their coattails Begging for ceasefire; While the ticking hands continue striking rhythms on my soul. Your Pulse by my Pulse I feel you slipping farther --Fingers curl a little tighter-- Perhaps you feel it too. We sense it in stiff lungs Instinctively, our last goodbye... where I would give whatever Fate would ask To stay and lie and breathe with you Without the seconds ripping onwards.carpet
ps i don't have your number. not that i was planning on bothering you at 12:01 am or anything like that.

What she's doing now is tearing me apart
Fillin' up my mind, and emptying my heart...

There's a place in the sun that she's never been
Where life is fair and time is a friend
Would she do it the same as she did back then?
Oh she looks out her window and she wonders again

We're
Too young to fall asleep
Too cynical to speak
We are losing it...
Can't you tell?
that was the closet thing to a ghost I could find.
